Herman's House

The injustice of solitary confinement and the transformative power of art are explored in Herman’s House, a feature documentary that follows the unlikely friendship between a New York artist and one of America’s most famous inmates as they collaborate on an acclaimed art project.

Picture Motion is currently working with the filmmakers to develop and execute a strategic screening tour of the film in select cities with key partners. Working with leading national and international social justice organizations, we are seeking to not just raise awareness for the inhumanity of solitary confinement, but change policy and practice of it’s longer term use on prisoners.

What kind of house does a man who has lived in a six-foot-by-nine-foot cell for over 30 years dream of?”  Watch the Trailer.
